Literacy Learning (Korean)
The primary focus of our ESOL programme is to develop the children’s English skills. To do this the students work in groups on speaking and listening tasks, reading and writing. To provide contexts for learning, the students are involved in language experiences including practical activities, visits and creating digital work on computers to record and share their ideas. Development of vocabulary, spelling, sentence structure and grammar are essential parts of our literacy teaching programmes and are integrated into topic work.

ESOL 프로그램의 주요 과제는 학생들의 영어 실력의 향상을 돕는 것입니다. 영어 실력 향상을 돕기위해 저희는 학생들을 (students ) 수준에 맞는 그룹을 결정하여 말하기, 듣기, 읽기, 쓰기등을 도와 주고 있습니다. 또한 저희는 현장 학습, 명소 방문visits 등을 통해 효과적인 수업을 진행해 나가고 있으며, 학생들(students)의 공부한 내용과 의견을 함께 나누기위해 컴퓨터를 통한 디지탈 수업도 진행하고 있습니다. 정확한 문법과 문장 구조, 어휘를 향상시키기위해 영어 수업을 진행해 나가고 있습니다.
Term One 2009 2009년 1분기
This term we are going to be learning about how to write recounts about developing the garden areas around our beautiful new classrooms.
이번 분기 저희들은 이 에스 오엘 정원을 직접 꾸며 본 후 어떻게 정원을 꾸몄는 지를 직접적어보는 시간을 가질 것입니다.
Term Four
4분기
This term we are going to be learning about communicating with others through cards, emails, invitations and letters.
이번 분기에 저희들은 카트, 이메일, 초대장, 편지등을 통해 대화하는 방법에 대하여 배울 것입니다.
We are also going to be reflecting on our experiences using different thinking tools such as PMIs, (Plus, Minus, Interesting) , Venn diagrams and OPV (Other people's viewpoints).
그리고 저희들은 저희들이 경험한 일에대한 좋은점, 나쁜점, 재미있는 점과 벤다이어 그램을 그리기, 또한 다른 사람들의 의견듣기등을 할 것입니다.
Term Three
3분기
This term our focus is on instructions. As part of this unit the students are having lots of fun orally giving instructions for others to follow. They are reading and following instructions to cook food items, create small construction objects and to play games. Finally they are writing instructions to explain how the process to others.
이번 분기에는 지시어를 중심으로 공부를 합니다. 학생들은 지시어를 이용하여 다른 학생들이 따라 할 수 있도록 할 것입니다. 요리에 관련된 지시어와 게임을 설명하는 지시어가 포함된 내용들의 책도 읽게 될 것입니다. 또한 다른 학생들이 이해 할 수있고 적용 할 수 있는 지시어를 직접 적는 일도 할 것입니다
